Clio Cup Racer ECU info

i know the Cup Racer ECU's are locked to ensure that they are not tampered with for the rac series but can cars used out with the race series get them unlocked ?

The basic answer is No
Official Renaultsport data chaps can unlock it, my understanding is they can only install the R3 programme and they will only do it at Dieppe and charge a bag full of Euro's

Thanks thought that may be the answer, was seriously thinking about one of these for hills and sprints but having to change the ECU and associated wiring would add significant cost.

KTech have made a plug and play ecu for the previous generation cup car (X65) so people can use them for other sports, might be worth getting in touch to see if they are planning on doing the same for the X85
