Parcels

wtf is this all about? I buy something, I give a delivery address, that's exactly where I expect the f...g thing to be delivered. I accept if I'm not in they will try to redeliver.
This is how it used to be, now it works like this so it seems.
If signature is required said lazy driver will forge your signature and leave it wherever he wants, he may leave a card to say he's put i in the bush to left of door or he may not.
He might leave it with a neighbour and write down completely the wrong address for you to collect it from.
He sometimes leaves it at completely different address even though house no and road is different.
I've just got in to discover I have a parcel to collect two miles up the road and two back. I didn't ask for it to be left there and they won't redilver apparently. So if it goes missing who is liable?
I understand robots or drones can now deliver parcels. Wtf will happen then ?

They're liable mate unless they have your specific instructions or signature.

Courier left a set of wheels for my bike worth £700 outside the front of my house which is on a main road, naturally they weren't there when I got home and nor did I have to pay for the replacement.

It's proper frustrating! I gave up trying to get things delivered to my house, end up travelling to timbucktoo just to get it back. Now I get it delivered to work, the bosses hate it but quite frankly I don't care [emoji23]

@_Ben_ might be able to tell you about the UK's ability to employ delivery drivers that are capable of doing just that !

SHOCKING !!!

Few weeks ago I sent a parcel to someone on here, went missing for a while. I was told delivered to a man at no 71. Turns out was delivered to a woman at 67, no 71 on estate . Arseholes

Mine from me to Ben was supposedly "Refused delivery" by him. Twice !!!

Obviously the courier couldn't park, couldn't get near, couldnt find it or perhaps couldn't be arsed.....

I used to live in middle of nowhere so if I wasn't in driver forged sig and left it. Is that even legal? Nothing went missing but wasn't sure where I stood if didd

sorry to hear Steve..fortunately never happened to me..hope it doesnt happen again..

just a bit shit tbh..cant imagine what the delivery guy was thinking leaving it 2 miles down the road!!

Remind me bud. Your visiting the Pod Friday night, sleeping Sat night (most likely)...and not there Sunday (?).
We are leaving fri lunchtime to get there in time for fireworks. Not staying fri night.
Back sat with my son and hopefully camping sat night, assuming there isn't any problems or booking needed. Then all day Sunday !
I assume no need to book camping?

As I thought pretty much.

My mate may be working one of the days now. But he can kinda pick and choose which.

He's coming around Thurs night and after looking at the weather - we'll decide if going both or which day or if we might camp Sat....whatever.

One way or another I'll be there Sat or Sun or possibly both.

I'll pm you my mobile and 'see you there'
