Trackspec Clio 197

Did you attack the inside of the car with rattle cans? Looks really nice! Lacquer too?

On my list to do
Thanks mate. No it's in 2 pack paint. So base coat, hardener and thinners mix and two coats using a compressor. The benefits of 2 pack is it's very hard wearing and has a great sheen. You can also flatten it back if you want as well.

Had a good day on the car today. Still got a few bits to finish off inside but it's getting there!

Fitted the first carbon fibre door card

Next jobs:
Finish the door cards
Sort the wiring to the rear
Fit carbon floor trays and create a false floor.
Then on with the engine swap.

Glad I did it mate. A lot of prep and stripping but definitely worth it.

Next challenge! Cutting out unnecessary crap out of the rear loom! Has anyone else done this? If so what did you remove?

I did this initially, depends on what you wanting left back in.
I initially stripped out the airbag's, seat belt tensioners, speakers and the key fob sensors. With then deciding to go on a standalone ecu, all I used was the loom for the rear lights, fuel pump. & sender. I got rid of all the interconnecting plug sockets and just soldered the connections.

I'm planning on removing the speakers, rear boot locking, alarm and airbags mate. What do the key fob sensors look like? Anything else I need to consider?

I've not tried it so this isn't from experience but I think it would just stop keyless entry working as well as keyless start. So the card would need to be in the slot each time. My battery died recently in the card and this was the result too.

where did you get the paint from?

I wouldn't mind removing them as long as it doesn't effect the card slot from reading.
