Remap

Hello fellas

Has anyone had their 200 remapped?

If so what was the out come with the BHP and also did the MPG take a plummet?!?

Sean, there's a huge thread about this on here into many many pages with graphs and feedback and everything you'd need.

Thanks

My bad I just realised I've posted this in the gallery section?!?!?
Is someone able to work their magic and move it over to the 200 area

Mate, just post in the thread linked above (or the ones I'm suggesting below) and don't worry about this one.

Also, search for "remap" and another for "results"
(make sure you change the settings to search thread titles only, otherwise you'll get shitloads!)

Once you've read through that lot, you'll know what you need to know.

Bet you're excited! Can't wait to see your results

I want to get mine booked in soon with RS Tuning in Leeds, but I'm not sure whether I want to do any more performance mods first before forking out for a remap

It's Remap Eve lol
Been planning my root to get where I need to be tomorrow and noticed that the A4069 (Black Mountain Pass) isn't a million miles away from where I'm heading, so I'm thinking of taking a slight detour on the return journey so I can have bit of a blast on said road
Haven't driven it before, heard a lot about it and have wanted to for quite some time, so as long as the weather isn't real shitty, tomorrow is going to be the day

Bet you're excited to say the least  Let us know how you get on

Will do buddy, I can't wait  hopefully get some pics and maybe a video to upload of her on the rolling road

Have fun

**I wasnt allowed to video either of my remaps / rolling road runs during. Health and safety spoiling our fun again :-(

Good luck !

Black mountains is only about 15 miles from crosshands if you go through Ammanford. You could go through fairfach, Llandeilo, llangadog and up over the mountain that way which will bring you out at the other end of the mountain in Brynamman.

Took the car in today to have her remapped

It took a lot longer than I had anticipated to get there as the weather was bloody awful and the motorway speed was restricted to 40/50 MPH, So it was just as well I left in plenty of time!

Rolled up at SCM at 10:02 booked in for 10:00. Fecking weather!!!! we had clear sky's yesterday, had the day off today and it was apocalyptic all morning! Typical

Here's a few pics on the Dyno

Results were surprising......................................................................
I'll let the graph do the talking

IMG_0405.JPG

Only made 185.2 before hand, I was expecting a little more if I'm honest not with the end result but with what she was running at before the map. Doesn't look like much on paper but it's made such a difference in the overall performance and feel to the car, she now pulls away so much smoother than before and with more urgency to the delivery of power on the pedal, flat spot has been greatly improved aswll its still there but nothing like before. Over all I'm very pleased with the outcome and change to how she now runs and feels vs before the remap.

Took the long way home via the black mountain pass  even tho the weather still wasn't great when it came time to leave, but I thought what the hell as I was in the area.
Road didn't disappoint! And was completely abandoned so was able to open her up within reason, theres a fair few potential, let's call them "right off rocks" along the route smack bang on the apex to the corners so could be a little sketchy if your not carful. Safety first kids

Epic views! Epic stretch of road!!!

Going to have to do it again sometime when and if we actually get some decent weather. All in all today was a good day

I have not seen your car on here before really like the red f1 blade.

Making me reconsider having mine mapped now had decided against it but now not so sure.

Glad you enjoyed the roads. Good roads are fun even in the rain in our cars. You're so right about remaps, the "on paper" gains don't tell the whole story. The improvement in driveability is awesome. I had mine done at RS Tuning & the figures you see there don't look good compared to some places, but the car is so much better. I bet if my car was put on another dyno the figures would look more impressive, without any remapping. Enjoy your car.

Thanks dude

I'd definitely recommend having it done, as I said before the numbers on paper don't look all that appealing but it really has made a huge difference

Nice update mate. You need a progress thread for all this so you can keep track of it.

Balls to the numbers, it's all about how it feels. Sure a few people might have 7 or 8 more horse power but it only really matters in a willy waving contest.

What an awesome drive to do just after getting it mapped! I've done that drive a fair few times. Spectacular roads. Can just imagine what your grin was like!

Couldn't stop smiling the entire drive home lol especially through the black mountains! Was so much fun, going to go again sometime to have another blast  there's another stretch of road up and over as well so going to check that one out to.
I've started a progrss thread (SeanTheSheeps deep black 200) I just can't seem to get on top of it tho, lots to fill in from then up untill now.
When I do eventually catch up with it I'll have to copy this over to the thread as this is the lastest and greatest.

Nice one Sean, very happy to hear you're so pleased with the outcome. As above, the numbers mean very little, these maps are done by owners to get better driveability, which is what you've got, so winner!

Great place to test drive as well, despite the weather!
