MPG

My 197 is currently sitting on 34.7mpg over the last 2000 miles. New job means 33 miles each way commute, mostly M42 and slow roadworks of the M5. Pretty pleased with that figure tbh, but it's piling the miles on quick. "Normal" short trips you'll generally only see about 25mpg though

Absolutely.

NOTHING lowers my MPG quicker than a little town work / stationary / very slow moving traffic inching forward.

Actually moving at a reasonable speed....even with a few revs on the go...its "ok".
I reckon it must be because of the lack of low down grunt?

"Big" engine doing nothing - at a rev-range its not happy in, coupled with no torque and a crap low-down map ?

Covered most of it.......

I've averaged 13l/100km (21 MPG for your speak) over the last 200kms of city commuting.

On a weekend blast where I get to open her up a bit ill get about 28MPG and motorway over an hour or so drive I'll get 30-32MPG.

Funny part is In my 7 months of ownership I've viewed my fuel consumption screen a grand total of feck all!

Lol this old chestnut still going round. In the 8 years I had mine it averaged 19.1 with no track days done.Every penny I spent on fuel was worth it

I managed to get an average of 36MPG on a 100 mile round trip to pick my gearknob up yesterday.

It very briefly went up to 40 for about 3 seconds, I almost had a heart attack, I've never seen this number '4' before :tearsofjoy:
