Albi 197 - Project Fast Road

I've seen/heard it in the flesh @Jimmy and i was really impressed. Made me feel like I wrap mine up in cotton wool and should just take it to the dark side to really get the most fun out of it! [emoji14]
Yeah it's made for abusing, so that's what I'll do!
Superb looking 197, I love those wheels as well! They're some nice mods you've done to it already, awesome!
Thanks mate appreciate that, always nice to get compliments on something you've worked hard on.
ok let us know how you get on..this bucket seat/mounts situation has made me very confused..wanted to go for some bucket seat not long ago but gave up..thanks
Bad news email from Ktec today, out of stock so looks like I'll make my own!

might be a better idea anyway..do you want your seats to move back and forth??
Not too bothered. Don't think it will be too hard to sort that anwyay! Will use some steel box section and then mount the side mounts to those!

That's exactly how I've mounted mine, there's some photos in my build thread on here.
Cheers will take a look, what size did you use?

Take it you drilled holes and bolted that to floor then drilled holes and bolted side mounts to those? Simple really?

Erm little bit more to it than that because the seat rails at in the way which stop you being able to bolt the rails down to the floor. I'll find out what size box section I used. I made the two runners from box sections which run front to back. Fitted two coach bolts from the under side of the rail which the side mounts will be bolted down to when the box sections are bolted in place from above. I'm sure there's some images in my thread.

Nice car! I loved my albi blue 197 before I got my AG 200. How are you finding the suspension setup?
Thank you!

Suspension is very good. I have found the H&R springs better matched with the cup dampers rather than the full fat.

Only thing is I've removed my rear seats and everything else associated, so the rear is a little high for my liking.

Is it safe to cut the springs lol [emoji23]

That's interesting to know as I thought the H&R springs weren't the best on the FF setup. Too bad nobody knew at the time I asked, i'll let the next owner bother with changing the shock lol

Well that's my opinion anyway, they're far from comfortable, but if I wanted a comfy cruiser I wouldn't have bought a Clio!

Got the first part of my air bag resistors, just waiting on the actual resistors.

And.... I've found a pair of sparco Subframes in stock, these should be with me tomorrow along with a pair of TRS 3" 4 point harnesses. Can't wait for the weekend!

Looks great. Would really suit some carbon door badges, or even anthracite to match the wheels.

I was actually considering eventually having the side badges, door handles and front/rear badges painted to match the wheels.

Or carbon, but carbon = $$$

Yeah the carbon stuff isn't cheap, although the door badges are 'only' £99 so not too bad. Tried black badge covers on mine and was 50-50 to be honest. Door handles are definitely on my list.

Just need to work out how to remove the door handles, the drives side one doesn't lock the car and the sensor is temperamental at unlocking. Boot and passenger door work perfect!

P_20160920_073307_1_p.jpg P_20160925_164544_1_p.jpg there is a how to on the handles..also you can wrap your bullets like i did..easy and looks like the real deal..

Can you tell me what I need to do to eradicate airbag light please in term of resistors / what ohms etc (About to replace at least drivers - maybe both front seats !) @matthewson

And does this mean none of the airbags will then work in a crash ???

Keep your posts coming btw. Your clearly very into it right now and it's good to see ?
