hey guys, ive been eyeing up the new trophy for a while and i think it will be my next car maybe at the end of this year. They seem to devalue quite alot as soon as they come out the show room like any car realistically.
Whats the preferred way people are buying them?
saw one for 1599 with only 4000miles but it did have 3previous owners lol.
just weighing up on how i should approach it, thanks

yeah, just intrested if people are buying them brand new on fiance or on loan bla bla.

thanks nutnutwelshman

I paid cash and got £5k off list for the car I wanted, just had a 500 mile round trip to get it! That was on a 200t a year ago.

Having had my fingers (and bank account) burnt buying a Peugeot RCZ from new, I'd personally never buy a new car again unless there was a ridiculous offer available. I sold the car on within 32 months of ownership and effectively lost £10k. That new car feeling is a fantastic one but it's not a privilege worth paying that much for. Let someone else take the biggest initial hit. Also, you'll get far more for your money on the used market anyway. Just my thoughts.

Aware of the finances and have never bought a car from new or from a dealer ever. Currently running a snotter 12 year old fabia vrs as a daily and have calculated that this is costing £110 per month with depreciation and repairs costed in, averaged over the last 2 years. There are lease deals going on things like the cupra 290 and golf r that would cost somewhere between £280-£310 per month equivalent (plus extra running costs) which are too much for me, but if there were a middle ground on something like the 220 then I might be tempted, hence the question.

If it's only PCPs at some stupid monthly payment factoring in the depreciation then I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Couldn't find any leases advertised and haven't been near a renault dealer ever so probably a stupid Q in the first place?
