New 200T owner here!

I thought you'd had an issue with limp mode or something??
no, no limp mode.
spanner came on once when I was dumping the accelerator, I know it should not do it (spanner) but not 'normal' driving really.
had no other problems what so ever (now I have said it!)
only going on superchips read out on their site, it surely feels a lot more than just 15bhp increase.
my times were 6.19 before 5.59 after so not a million miles from 'womble' but how reliable the RS monitor is, is anyones guess.

not trying to course any problems, but just thought it was blanket statement, not everyone has had a bad experience from superchips, I assume your map from superchips was a while ago, so assume they have reworked it, that what they told me anyway.

Yes Superchips reworked my map, and that is what I got, 215 bhp, they de tuned the map to stop everyone getting spanners on their dash. I didn't get limp mode.

I, as everyone knows tells it as it is. If I have done it and it is good I tell everyone, same if it is bad, I tell everyone, but I am far from on my own with spanner lights on with Superchip maps. I can not comment on stuff I have not done. As someone has already said, you have had the spanner on.

Have you tried it flat in fifth at 5000 rpm?

If you notice I didn't comment on any other tuners map, as I have not tried any others, so I can't comment, even though I know some are struggling to release their flash software.

cant say I have not had the spanner on I have the once, but that was with a little usual driving. (not how I usually drive, just testing it really)
no problems since though, I like the idea you can take it off when needed. I have had RST map in the past, great maps but not this time, as car in still in warranty
as you all know not for 3 years but 4 years now. (I could not wait that long!)
I have done some good speeds up and down my private airstrip, no problems todate.

would love to see both cars @ the mk4 meet we have coming up be good to have a few there and see the differences lol

renault will still be able to tell that there's been a map on there...

What I mean is that if anything happens engine wise and they see it's been mapped they are not going to replace it...

I suppose your local dealer would have trouble finding a trace of the map if it has been taken off.
Different matter if Renault themselves wanted to fine something, due to a big warranty claim?

This needs clearing up by someone who actually knows, or has done it.

(sorry 'chris91' not saying you don't actually know for sure.)

surely RSTuning could shed some light?

Yes im sure day to day and servicing would be fine, would just be if the car went pop and they looked into the ecu.

not that there's currently any known cases of these cars breaking because of a map, none as far as I know.

even if he map was removed then surely it would leave traces, parameters that have been changed etc..

It does not matter, who's tuning device you use, it scores on the ECU counter, every time.

Badbuzz, sort out a dyno day, nearer myself and I'll be down. It is great to see what works and what does not work, we used to do it on the Focus RS scene and it is really good to see what products are good and what are not so good.

I don't mind travelling but everything at the moment is a 500 mile round trip.

I did try to set one up pal only had a handful show up tell me which dyno suits and ill sort one but most of the bits tend to be midlands based as its in the middle of everyone.

We have a couple of high end dynos I can sort but runs tend to be £40+ we will need 15 committed will be either telford or Nottingham

Yes but what about the Scots as well. A lot travel down to Coombe, surely something a bit nearer might tempt people. We could maybe do a dyno day on a Saturday and a road run on a Sunday, or combine it with a show on a Sunday?

I've now had the Clio a few weeks now and it's time for a remap. So I'm guessing the best place is rs tuning? Take it the map would be about £400 all in? I did look at exhausts and wanted the scorpion one but I'm a sucker for power! I've read about if the gearbox can take the extra torque etc but would I need anything else like a forge inter cooler for the map to keep it cool?

I just went for the Bluefin (no more said)

We happily ran 237bhp on the stock intercooler, it is only on long full throttle runs that the cooler struggles. You don't need an exhaust, secondary cat delete and mid box chop, gets better results than cat back. Spend your money on a map and then a cooler/Maxogen filter. 245 bhp all day long then. Big exhaust drops the exhaust gas speed and you loose a bit of throttle response.

that's ok then, think in the summer when it's warm it may struggle but I want the map mostly for easy overtaking. I love in gear times. Would like to know what the 30-70 mph in 3rd and 70-90 in 4th gear would be with a map? If it can match my fez ST revo stage 2 I'd be happy with that
