New civic type r

You better off in Clio, that Honda 'ant half that fun, plus when was there a Honda cup, were is the pedigree or any form of racing cred?

Saw one not too long ago, I agree they look absolute quality! Way out of my budget though.. for now

Not seen one in the metal yet, but from photos they do look pretty wild! Don't think it'd be my first choice either, but I think it looks better than the previous shapes.

I think it looks ugly as fook! Id rather a 275 trophy or wait for the new FRS

Thoroughly agree Chris, I'd rather have a Daewoo! Saw one yesterday and it's back of a spoon fugly!

Looks like it was penned by the same visually impaired butcher who did the Lambo Veneno!

@Chris91 - speaking of 275's - a friend sent me this earlier today - seems like very good value - http://www.tilsungroup.com/renault-...jdTM0NQVE0gIDMgICA=-OXwxMHwyNHww#.VkRjrnbhCUk

Yes the cup s is a particularly good bargain to be had! Think you can even spec the ohlins!

haha don't know if I'd go as far as daewood!!! But they do look crap!

It's very marmite. Personally I think it's great, looks different to anything on the road. Not overly keen on the interior though, felt cramped to me. Rear view visibility is piss poor.

I'd take one over any Renault.

Quite a few round my way, nice car but for the money id rather a 275 trophy. Plus that ring lap record.. Definite "foul play"

I reckon they look the muts nuts. If my golf gets replaced so far that would be leading the race. But thats in a few years. Its the first honda I've seen and thought, "yes, I want that". But I haven't seen one on the road yet, only in a dealer showroom I walked past.

I agree it's a bit Marmite. There's things I like about it and things I don't. Looks better in the flesh than in pics for definite. Saw one at Knockhill at BTCC & was surprised how much I liked it. I still think I'd probably take a Megane Trophy over one as the Civic does seem to be trying a bit too hard. I tend to prefer European car interiors to Jap ones too, nicer plastics etc. I did used to enjoy my wife's old shape Civic Sport (1.6 V-tec) though.

Funny how we all love Clios yet this can divide opinion so much! Loving the variation in views in this thread.

No doubt, it's a pretty amazing car, just certainly not for me.

A mate of mine made this official film for Honda. I was out with him for the original location scouting. Had a nice 135 BMW for the day and I ended up driving it into the forest up walking paths. Hilarity. Almost got stuck loads of times and grounded out worryingly a few times too. Freaked a few walkers out! At one point my mate gets out of the car and asked some of them if they had "any chocolate cake please?" in his best high school German. Fun day.

Not for me either. I'm yet to see one on the road but going by press photos etc it's just not a car that appeals to me in the slightest. I did like the EP3 Type R, the FN2 looked ok but Honda have lost the plot with this one. Still, it boasts impressive figures and is no doubt very capable but the 275 Trophy wins hands down for me.

Have to agree with you Johnny 99 I seen the one at Knockhill too and thought it looked ace. Seen one on the motorway a couple of weeks ago and it sounded excellent.

Was driving into Inverness city centre and spotted a new 65 plate civic type r what a nice piece off kit if i could afford one I'd snap one up

If you're a fan of the Civic's extrovert styling you have to go for that spoiler you're considering for the 200T bud!

Test driven one, not for me personally.

I thought it was going to be far better than what it was but sitting at 1400kg, no thanks. It's a tank.

The length of the thing looks like a flipping bus too.

I went and had a look at one at my local dealer and it is cramped inside! I initially thought that it looked amazing, but the more time I spent with it, the more I thought it looked like a car from a max power magazine! My 200 is for sale and I need a 5 door car, so I've put a deposit down on a new focus RS.

as one magazine called it " a cup cake dipped in lego" :chair:

not seen one in the metal yet :nope:
