Brake pedal went hard = brown trouser moment!!!

check the "quick" release fittings on the servo pipes - theres been a few faulty ones reported on here - think there same for 197 & megane
 
Only blessing is happened as I was just going to set off from petrol station. Could have been a disaster if happened 10 mins earlier.

any idea if the servo is a standard unit out of all Clio 3's?
 
**** this is nasty indeed, hopefully no drama. I really don't want to think what would have happened on a spirited driving...let us know what the problem is Wilson.
 
Sorry to hear about this. As you say, very glad it didn't happen at a worse moment... Hopefully you get it sorted soon.
 
Have you got the cat ceramic coated? A reason why mine is done as you can melt the pipes to/from the servo with the heat coming off the cat.
 
Unfortunately you can't really see much, but the cat pretty much sits under the brake master and the heat that coming off the cat can melt the pipes. 8ff4089c5b8b9a3bba26d526f9e831fb.jpg
