Momentum 99 for me
all other fuels are all 98 ron just with "adding" things to make it sell better but deep down its the same stuff

Another 99 Momentum user here too Seem's to be price considerably cheaper than V Power too around my area.

Unleaded ~ 115.9
99 Momentum ~ 120.9
V Power ~ 125.9

I've always used VPower. It's proven to be the best fuel around, even if it is just 0.01hp extra, there's more cleaning agents in it etc.

Car seems to run better on it too.

There was a thread around the internet somewhere, sometime ago; it was an engine builder for a race company and he could tell the difference between which engines had used Shell and tesco momentum when he'd strip the engines down lol.

I use Momentum too my car seems to run better on it than V Power for some reason, not complaining with it being considerably cheaper.

is it bad ive been using standard fuel? This had made me wonder if i should use the premium fuel?

Same Raider but I'm limited to good stuff in this barren wilderness I dwell in.

That's incorrect. RON varies across products. I agree many refineries manufacture fuel for multiple brands, but it's only the same stuff based on the fact that it's hydro-cracked crude oil.

V-Power Nitro+ is 99 RON.
BP Ultimate is 97 RON.
Texaco High Octane is 97 RON.

The sticker inside the filler cap of my 200 states it's preferable to run it on 98 RON (or above). Regular 95 RON unleaded won't harm, but they run better on higher octane. Why drive the run out model, and fully loaded top of the range and fuel it on 95 RON unleaded?

People look at the pump price and think they're saving ££ by using a lower RON fuel. The savings are minimal, if there are any at all. As other posters state, stripped engines that have been correctly fuelled seem to be in better condition and fuel additives aren't worth using; better to louche high RON fuel though it regularly and drive it hard. In my opinion the additives in fuels like V-Power Nitro+ will be doing the same job as an injector cleaner. I used to use a Slick50 Injector Cleaner product on an S1 106 Rallye. I'd say the effect was a placebo, although it did seem to run well during the consumption of that tank. That could have been because there might have been octane boosters in the additive.

Not that I believe marketing guff, but this is worth a watch.
