How do you suck out fuel from your own tank?

Just get a bit of pipe long enough, decent diameter around 10mm internal.

Pop it down the filler neck and push it through till it stops. Then you wana hold the other end low down, and suck on the pipe until fuel almost reaches the end, then quickly take your mouth off it before you drink a load of fuel.

This will start a siphon and you just need to keep the end of the hose held low in a bucket and it will siphon it out. Best to do it with a clear piece of hose so you can see when the fuel nearly reaches the end thats in your mouth.


Alternatively you can buy a 'jiggle siphon' halfords sell them and this has a little ball bearing pump which starts the siphon motion by jiggling the pipe up and down. Although this can be a pain if the cars got quite a bendy filler neck.

Drill a hole in the bottom and seal it with used chewing gum for the 2 hours you need it.

Tight gits

If you're going to siphon out the fuel from your tank, make sure the tank is higher than the container you're siphoning into.
Park your car on a high curb, ramps or something. Get a 3 meter length of clear, reasonably stiff tubing.
It makes life a lot easier.

Or better still find a private road and rag the titties of it to enjoy the remaining fuel.

This is what I did before I got the clio. Nice 1 half drive on the red line. Didn't sound great when I got there!

Back on subject though, as others have said make sure the car is higher than the container.

Pretty sure you can't do this anymore due to modern cars having anti-syphon filler necks.

This is certainly what I would do lol, but then again might enjoy it too much and want to keep it ha!!
