Goodbye Goose

Hi glad you're ok! Be careful of what they try to write off mate! my girlfriends father has made a living and good one at that out of buying cars that get written off and the repairs are a lot easier than the valuer thinks. A lot of the time they don't know what they are looking at.
Would be nice to keep as many r27's around as possible even if they are repairs!
Please keep me informed if you have let her go

You could probably get a high mileage Nimbus for sub £3.5k then just transfer all the panels across then sell the rest.

very often the valuers cant know for sure what damage may have been caused to chassis and other main components so as to not to spend more money on investigating, once they reach a certain value they just deem it a total loss.

First offer of £4200 in from the insurance.... Rejected, obviously.

No news on how much they'll sell it to me for yet

tell them you will not accept any less that the glass figure. Knowing that figure is a different matter unless you have gap or know a dealer that will tell you tho.

By law they have to offer you at least the glass figure but they will obviously offer less.

The free glasses figure is £5500 for a 70,000 mile car...mines nearer 50 but I'm not sure how much that affects it. For the moment I'm trying to get them to replace it.

Only just saw this, bad times mate, unlucky :worried:

I liked the write up though, it made me laugh even if that wasn't the intention. Especially liked the "folded in the wing mirrors naturally, don't want any scraps'

Once again, unlucky, hope it all gets sorted smoothly

Damn Goose, gutted for you mate, thankfully you are all nice and well. Another R27 bites the dust, hope you get it sorted with the insurance as effortlessly as possible..
