Aza's Albi Blue 197 - Boosted 270 BHP & 301 lb-ft

As some of you may know my previous car, the megane 225 F1 was squashed by a tree :worried:.
Unrepairable and irreplaceable, the engine was left intact which gave me the idea of a boosted 197 to rekindle the flame (literally out of the exhaust  )

I spotted the perfect car a while back on Renault UK, it wasn't for sale at the time but out of the blue a few months later it popped up for sale and I had to have it.

Some pics after a normal wash and some TAMZ Gold wax. Stunning results from only 1 coat, I even waxed the inside of the boot too!

All that's left is the bare shell on wheels on my drive way looking very sad for itself indeed :worried:.

No going back now!

Test fit of the meg engine
received_m_mid_1400515229374_2bf3be403455793217_0_zps0ea314f5.jpg

on day 2 he got the engine out again, did all the plumping and wiring, heat shield, I dropped of the scorpion exhaust, looked into the n/s knocking ball joint..
and worked his amazing magic to pull this off. BOOM!
Worked in the standard megane intercooler into the clio.

Day 3, Andy is having the ECU to work on to marry the conversion together. Something to do with the meg immobiliser clashing with the clio ECU.
Also my JDM boost gauge arrived! 19,950 yen for this bad boy lol.

Good progress don't forget to take the gear linkages off the meg before it gos
Of course, we are using the megane gear stick, and the short shift linkage that's all done and working . Had to be modified a bit as it wasn't going into reverse.

how hard was it to get the meg engine??looking good..
About 12 hour labour, bit of wiring needed + some one to modify the megane ECU to remove the immobiliser chip and put a new one in its place so they talk to eachother with the clio's electrics.

My son has just done his wheels that colour on his Saxo ( same blue nearly) very "marmite" but I think its a quality colour combination

Good progress being made there I see! That colour combo is genuis.
Are you going to strip the meg down and sell whats left or just scrap it as is?
