Essex based remappers/tuners for my 200.

I might be remapping the clio soon as I want it louder on intake and exhaust, probably go with an itg maxigen intake and just remove the cat and silencer in the middle pipe.

Where is is best to map the clio 200 and have a nice smooth power delivery?

any1 with first hand experience il be glad to hear your advice.

Craig.

Amd are hopeless, rather be standard than go there, had bad experiences with them. There not the best for remaps so ideally I'd like others.

Ah fair enough, haven't had any experience with them but the only ones I know of your way. Are you willing to travel further?

Not many places to go to down here mate. As advised by Kev many people go to RS Tuning in Leeds.

Other options are K-tec and 519 Automotive

Thanks guys, yeah I think a trip up there may be needed. Be worth it in the end ha.

Removing the the center silencer and an itg maxogen will be what I'm working with. Shane these engines don't like or adapt to free flow mods. My type r loved the mods.

Where are you based buddy?

Thought of a Fastchip RS Tuner? Failing that you have TDI in Lakeside next door to AmD with their awesome hub mounted dyno however they are expensive (£550 I was quoted for the 265 ). Danny at 519 Automotive is also a highly competent mapper.

Thanks mate, il ask Danny as he is only down the road really, hours drive if that. Really helped me out there. I want to do the basic upgrades and then go from there. A nice remap to cure the flat spot caused by exhaust and inlet mods, any1 I can speak to who has had a 200 done there?

The low range flat spot and cold start kangaroo'ing can be cured with the MAP sensor fix that a lot of people have done on here but obviously the best way to completely eradicate the flat spot is as you say a remap. There was someone on here recently Who went to Danny for a remap but I can't for the life of me remember who it was!

I went for a remap there 2 months . Car is so much better to drive I have to say. Had a bluefin remap and panel filter already so in terms of power was pulling decent figures at around 195ish. Remap with centre silencer our and matched inlets pulling 201ish I think on the day. We can argue the accuracy of the rolling roads and who out of RS, K-tec and 519 is most accurate but at the end of the day while the before and after figure are quite close thats realistic. When people claim +10bhp for remap and filter I dont believe it. All I can report is mid range urgency is a hell of a lot better. and it is a lot easier to drive "fast" less gear changes and was reasonable at £299 compared to the other 2 in question. Other thing with 519 is he is honest and happy to talk. I took my car in for brake fluid and pad change. He was honest and said they didnt need them saving me £150ish... Happy to chat whilst working etc... So once you have got hold of him and booked in, cant fault him

Thanks for that information mate, well happy with it i take it?

Did is you have matched inlets done there and mapped on the day? Iv tried the map sensor fix and it still kangaroos but I haven't noticed a flat spot really so il give him a phone call and see what's what.

Where red you located mate? Might have to have a ride in it.

Hi Mate,

Yeah I am happy with it. Power increase is not noticable only big difference is I can go faster in each gear as rev limiter has been raised slightly. Map sensor fix is temporary in my opinion.

The flat spot is basically isnt noticable with a standard car its when you get exhaust mods.

With the Remap there is just more urgency from 2.5k upwards. That is the real difference mid range drivability and being able to get to the higher revs quicker. I had matched inlets map and cambelt done all at once. Then went back to have gearbox oil and lowered. Workmanship is good and honest. Im in windsor. So as you can see I keep going back even though he is 2 hours away ish... I am due there end of month if you wanna meet me there although pretty far for you.

I think there are some people from Essex with a remap so ask one of them...

For what? All the prices are on his site. Remap £299 lowered was £275 now £299 i think. Matched inlets are £250 i think. Personally i would only get them with an exhaust and induction.
