Bluefin Superchips

Don't do it. I had one then took it to 519 and said that the ignition timings are dangerous and that my car had relied on the knocking sensor too much. Potential to go bang. I would just get a custom map for an extra £85

Im new to all this all my old cars I just upgraded the looks, smooth bodywork, wide wheels, very low cars. Any thing is helpful so thanks ill look more into it, any advice?

Go to a reputable RS independant garage the offer remap. Possibly an after market exhaust too makes the low range more drivable. Other than that unless you are willing to spend a lot no more you can get out of the performance.

Ok thank you mate ill source what I need and hopefully ill get a progress thread started. Thanks again

A rolling road map u will pay more but there a lot safer , det cans etc , and are individually ddone to your car , with the mods on your car , they cost more but are safer , better , and yes better for the engine and ya wallet in the long run !! Doesn't just go with a Clio. Goes with any car , pay cheap pay twice ,

I put one on my old one, lasted a 2 days. RR confirmed that fueling was too lean. Was a ticking time bomb.

U can get a flash on file from Rs tuning or k-tec but better off driving to either them and get it mapped on the rollers

K tecs rollers are famous for running high figures , sorry. Dint worry about bhp though its how the car drives punch ability drive etc , and most importantly a safe map

Yeah im going there when im back from afghan properly with a few mates that have got the new fiesta st and the 1.4tsi ibiza anyone wants to come you are more than welcome to join us guys

Im interested in the Bluechip for a 200T. Ive only heard feedback from two users. One positive and the other negative (from this forum). Anyone know of or heard of other feedback?

As far as im aware they both had problems, i wouldnt touch one if you paid me.

Not saying you will have a problem just run the chance of the engine combusting at the wrong time. Spoke to dan @519 when i had one. Knock sensor is there to stop spontaneous ignitions when at high altitude thick air etc extremes basically once in a while. He said the bluefin map was causing the knock sensor to kick in a lot more. Just puts your engine at a higher risk.. He said the map was not too bad power wise just a risk

it was doing its job then...

some motors are mapped standard running close to the knock limit

take it to 3 different tuners/mappers and you will get 3 different opinions as well as 3 different results...
