Spirit Blue Fiesta ST

Apologies for not seeing this question.

Day 1- 159 miles, 3 hours, 49 mins
Day 2- 337 miles, 9 hours 38 mins
Day 3- 269 miles, 5 hours, 13 mins

I like driving but I wouldn't want to drive for 9 hours. I'm taking my car up to the Lake District in March, looking forward to taking it on those roads.

Fitted the newly released Montune/Samco induction hose tonight. 10 minute job to fit:

500-500

Some of the bumf:

The mountune high-flow induction hose for the Fiesta ST was engineered to increase air flow to the turbocharger and replaces the restrictive factory hose between the air box and the turbocharger inlet pipe.

Produced exclusively for mountune by SamcoSport, the mountune high-flow induction hose features stainless steel wire reinforced sections to prevent deformation under engine load but enough to maintain compliance.

Back to back comparisons with the OE hose on mountune's in house flow bench revealed an impressive improvement in airflow of over 35%.

• High quality silicone construction
• Machined alloy insert allows easy installation of original breather hose
• Stainless steel wire reinforced
• Easy installation
• Increased air flow and induction noise

There are a few colours available but I opted for the subtle black outside/yellow inside combo. More factory fit that way.

After a quick 2 minute drive there is definitely more noticeable whooshing from under the bonnet. Obviously real world there will be no real performance difference but its a quality product and looks the part. Worth the money? I'd say so.

I would

I don't think its that good - pretty poor change from 1st to 2nd - and for me the lever is a bit too far forward - once the quick shift is fitted you know how good the change could/should feel

Yeah, first to second isn't great. And its not only me that thinks the gear stick is bit too far forward.

how much?

Think I'm going to purchase quick shift kit!! I'm not to sure about the hose, no real improvement and it costs £90? I'd prefer to get the quick shift! Although it does look rather nice!

would you go mountune stage 2?

Does it not cause problems on the Fiesta? I know with the Focus it's caused synchro failures so i decided against it...

The road to Applecross turned out to be a little bit more wintry than we had hoped:

Yup. That snow is higher than the car lol.

More pics to follow but as we have over 300 to sort through, I'll hopefully get round to sticking them up tomorrow.
