Would I be able to get this done to say cat cam spec using standard cams and sending them off? How much would it cost? I can get a set of standard cams cheap but wanted to know if it will work out cheaper

Doubt it will work because performance cams have a higher lift than the standard ones which would mean you need to add material to the standard cam and not shave it off......
Is that 401/2/3 cat cam profiles ?
Don't really understand the different cams for clio's haha not sure what can be used on standard engines

As much as I'd love to take your money and get your cams profiled I would actually advise against it as I've been advised that reprofiled Clio cams in general from wherever you get them done are particularly harsh on the followers but then tbf so are any aftermarket cam

Cam's are on my list, really would like schrick's but a bit pricey and don't see many used cams for sale
well the 172/182 versions are £346.80 on exchange basis, so it should be the same deal or very similar for the 197/200 cams.

The CB reprofiled cams would be roughly the same as the Catcam 401's which are the Group N spec (as mentioned standardised). The profile therefore would be around 287°/282°. (Shricks are 288°/280°)
Can't give exact figures as the process used by CB can give slightly varied results but to be fair this is the same process most companies would use. First the camshaft is scanned then the magic computer works out the best profile available, it is then reprofiled by the same machine that cuts cams for Lamborghini.
These are available now for £320 inc P&P. You would need to send a pair of cams and delivery would be around 21 days.
As mentioned previously reprofiled cams from anyone are harder on your engine than std cams but then so are Shricks and CatCams.
