Hi from Spain

Hi, my name is Jaime, I am 22 years old and I am an owner of a CRS 197.

My car is bare stock and the only options it has are auto lights and cup wheels. Only thing I trien to change by now was the gearknob and it didn't go well.

My plans for the car are:

-Sport seats (Recaro Sporster or any other kind if I don't find them for the right price.
-Lightweight exhaust (I'm looking more for loss of weight rather than power, as it seems this car doesn't like mods)
-Stripping the car like the R26R (keeping it tidy)
-KW V3
-Clio cup rear camber shims
-Some light wheels with Toyo R888

And that's about it for now.

I've been in a couple of trackdays with the car, and I find it very good at it, but with the standard suspension (no cup jobbie) seems like is going to roll over:

Here are some pictures of my car, hope you like it:

Third photo is great!
Feels like you have nice list of future upgrades - all useful but still not too radical

ps welcome here!

Welcome to the site mate! Good to see the car being used properly!

I have to agree, the third photo is brilliant!

Thanks for the welcome

I enjoy photography and I would like to take some good pictures of my car, but it takes a lot of time and I prefer spending that time driving the car

About the mods, I want the car road legal, as here in Spain, to modify a car here is a ballache as everything you do to the car is illegal. Once I had a 106 Rallye with roll cage, racing seats, harnesses, Gr.N exhaust, etc. and I was always worried about bieng pulled over, as everytime I got pulled over would mean tickets of hundreds of €. Not cool at all.

The car has seen a couple of trackdays for now, as there's no point of modding a car if you don't know how to drive it properly. So mods would be coming slowly as I try them and learn the new limits of the car. I think that is more enjoyable than doing all at once and now knowing what you're doing.

I've been reading the forum since december, and I've read a lot of technical stuff, but still having some questions, so I will be here solving the questions that I can (not much, because I'm not a mechanic and my english is nothing from the other world) and asking a lot

Cheers

Reminds me abit of Belgium
Nice wheels you've got there

I'm from Madrid, but I also go a lot to Alicante. I usually move all around Spain to go to circuits and other stuff, as the furthest point from madrid is about 400 miles, so not a lot.

About the wheels, being white is a pain in the arse, also, lots of people tell me than white wheels with grey cars don't go well, so I'm thinking about refurbing them in another colour (not black, as I don't like black wheels and every other set of speedlines is black).

Cheers
