Not sure if any of you guys watch it but tonight at the season finale of the Indycar championship there was a fifteen car crash where one driver (Dan Weldon) was taken to hospital but died of his injuries.

Totally horrific crash and obviously gutted at the loss of a driver. Just goes to show how dangerous Motorsport can be.

I've been reading about this this morning, its absolutely horrific.

I'm glad he acheieved his dream before he died, the Brit did well to win the Indy 500 this year for a 2nd time and your thoughts really do go out to all involved.

indy car or open wheeled racers in america dont have a good record safety wise been a lot of drivers killed......

A big loss, and truly devastating for his family I would imagine.

I was in Vegas at the time, I actually saw Dan Wheldon the night before driving down the strip (all the cars were driving up and down the strip). I've pictures and videos somewhere as well (I was going to load em on here once I've got them from the camera). Was going to go the the race but didn't have time on the day.

R.I.P
