Weird MKIII seat side cushion problem

Also, if I try pressing against the side cushion with a lot of force, it seems to 'relax' a bit but after a while it returns to the bent inwards position.. perhaps it's just my idea and I'm just squeezing against the padding, I'm not really sure. How odd!

Weird MKIII seat side cushion problem

So I have this really odd issue with the driver's (regular, non Recaro) seat on my '09 200. The left side 'cushion' is pressing against my side, uncomfortably so, and it really causes actual pain after about an hour of driving. This has never happened before in 15 years of owning and driving...

    The infamous nearside knock?

Bringing this thread back from the dead since even after 12 years, the mysterious knock from the front (both left and right side, mostly left) has not been solved. Things replaced so far with no success: front shocks, steering rack, track rod ends, anti-roll bar drop links, top mounts, lower...

    Boot door rubber cable boot/duct

Yeah, that's exactly what has happened. So I'll be sealing it with some silicone adhesive

    Boot door rubber cable boot/duct

It is double lipped, and doesn't appear to be cut, but it also doesn't stay flush.. like its been deformed somehow. So I'll have to use silicone to seal it.

    Boot door rubber cable boot/duct

I'm currently in the process of re-familiarizing myself with my 200, after it spent 11 months in the garage getting repaired. I spotted this near the hinge of the boot door - the rubber cable duct, while intact, doesn't seem to be very waterproof - its just laying there in the hole, but its not...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Being obsessive about alignment, I got the car checked today - its pretty much perfect. I honestly expected the smack in the back to have thrown off the rear axle even just a tiny bit, but no - both toe in and camber are at almost the 'ideal' values (i.e. in the exact middle of the range allowed...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

At long last, almost exactly 10 months after the accident, my car is ready. I just picked it up today. Total damage with parts + labor came to around 5k euros. Everything was procured straight from Renault dealers all over Europe, over a grueling 8 months. The only part that was impossible to...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Just to let everyone know, if you're ever feeling down or disappointed, just remember that almost 8 months later, I still have no car and no reimbursement from the insurance company. They deemed that the car is fixable at around 4-5k, with its current used price sitting at around 11k euros. And...

    Airbag issue HULL

Apparently there's a process to clear crash data from the UCH using the CLIP software. In my rear-end crash, even without airbags deployed, the UCH module's G-sensors still registered a crash and cut off the fuel system. FYI: knock off CLIP sondes (CAN boxes) can be bought off cheap online, and...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Apparently, from the Clio III onwards, there is no manual fuel cutoff switch that one can enable after a crash. It's all done via the CAN bus - one needs to hook up the CLIP diagnostic computer and clear the UCH 'crashed' state. No airbag lights on, nothing was activated - neither airbags or...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

I keep getting conflicting opinions. Some say that due to the fact that the rear axle and rear quarter panels have not been damaged/affected, that the car is worth saving (needs pulling at the back, removal of rear frame pieces and boot floor and replacement with new parts, rewelding etc)...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Its got a key, not a card. It has never refused to start with either doors or boot open before. Plus, it didn't start before I attempted to open the boot, so... something else is going on. The dealer said they'll look into it.

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Also, weird thing - the car doesn't start. The ignition turns, but the engine doesn't fire up. I'm guessing either a fuel cut-off switch was activated (though that happens when airbags deploy, which they didn't in this case), or, there's something wrong with the fuel pump or fuel tank under the...

Rear ended on highway - is this repairable, or a total loss?

Some photos of the damage: Uh-oh. My first thought was - the boot floor can't have creased SO much! It has received quite a lot of damage but it was the tool tray that had popped off its cubby and raised the floor mat so high. Fun fact: the boot lid opened normally - I managed to squeeze my...
