Hi, Read that the 197 needs a change at 5 years or 72K miles. My car is just coming up to 5 years but has only done 24000 miles and £500 is a lot of money. Do you think i need to get this done now with my mileage or leave it another year or so?

There available from a company called r-tec (google them), have to bend/cut a tiny piece of metal that is just above the pedal bracket, then just unclip the cable that goes into pedal and place the SB inbetween. Job done. If it wasn't for the metal, would only take 20-30 seconds to fit

When you depress the accelerator fully, the throttle doesnt completely open, there is a delay which the booster iliminates but the main improvement is in the speed that the engine revs up. The unit simply increases the signal from the pedal to the ECU (this is simplest way i can describe)

The car is a LOT more responsive throughout the rev range. Not just for putting foot fully down. Its hard to describe without you trying it out but iv had a remap, upgraded air filter and this and if i could only keep 1, its the booster all the way.

This is a Marmite product,plain and simple. people love it, people hate it although being realistic, i doubt if more than 1-2% of people have ever used 1 on their car. I love the unit and car is much more driveable, that's my opinion and il stick with it. I find the throttle response ok-ish...

Just says 'sprint booster' on it and the clear circle is the actual switch/button that lights up when pushed in: Clear - factory setting, push once Green - Mid Boost, push again Red - High Boost

Haha just the original 197 badge. Just washed and waxed car and can see a faint outline of the CLIO letters. Thought it was too easy :) t-cut to the rescue i think
