I'm not sure if a two pin switch was ever fitted to a Clio 197 or 200 but if your car has cruise control it most definitely uses a 3 pin switch with the following code: 8200177718

You need bigger ones: 19 mm.

I did the same test and the temperature was the same. Oscilating between 70 and 80 °C. Only while stationary the temperature rose above 80 °C. This is normal for a 75 °C thermostat.

You should check the bracket between the main catalytic converter and the small one. Mine got loose causing the exhaust to resonate between 2500 and 3000 rpm. After I tightened the screw everything went back to normal.

Did any of you that changed the 75 °C thermostat to a 89 °C one do track days during the warmer months ? How was the engine temperature ? I am considering changing my thermostat but I am thinking that there might have been a reason why Renault chose a lower temperature one. Nowadays every...
