Recommendation for main dealer service - Yorkshire

Has anyone got a direct contact for Adam at Harratts? Haven't used them in a while but think I could be soon.

Clio now gone - Au revoir Renault

Excellent mate.. I got rid of mine as 2 hot hatches didn't really suit. I went for a 335d instead. Such a great car.

197 Cup sold - Cheers for the help etc lads

Well the 197 Cup has gone, lasted 7 months which is about right for me! I PX'd it, got £200 less than I paid for it 7 months back, well happy. Cheers for all the advice given etc since I've been here. This is deffo one of the best forums I've ever used for members being helpful. That's...

    Braking problems

I'd recommend the 2500's.. I couldn't be happier with mine, lots more bite from cold and with a bit of heat they're silly.

Has your gearbox been replaced? Yes or no?

Original box. 1st is a bit tricky when cold. Will be having it's oil swapped in March when the cambelt is done.

    The dreaded MOT time...

Don't worry about it mate. They can't exactly invent issues overnight!

    Brake Setup - Any thoughts?

I'd just use standard discs with DS2500. Stupidly good braking.

    197 water pump??

I'd be quite happy that they have noticed it was goosed rather than just slung it back together and hand it back trying to save a few quid!

How much I love my clio

They're great cars.. They don't change direction like the (Cup packed) Clio though! I enjoy having to really work the engine in the Clio, Megane was all a bit effortless, didn't have to work to make it go - not as fun to me.

    Running a 197

^ I'm glad you just added the last paragraph! On the flip side... Now you've done all that work i'm assuming you won't be able to justify selling it (i wouldn't be able to) but it 'should' give you trouble free motoring for years.

How much I love my clio

I love mine! I'm actually surprised how attached I am to it.. It's so docile and works as a car so well but get it on a back road and it's fantastic. It's easily the most fun car I've ever owned. Everything about it is just so well rounded. ...and I've had the Meganes mapped at 270hp, i've had...

    95 or 98 ron fuel?

It's 99 here too. Back when it was Optimax it was 98. I think the change coincided with the re-branding.
