    Bulbs

HIDs in reflector units will be rubbish with no beam pattern and a danger for other road users. Get decent bulbs (Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited or Philips Xtream vision). Both a great upgrade over standard.

    Slave Cylinder - SLIP

Agree with this 100%. Only time I payed near £800 for a clutch fitted was when I had the Focus ST. Cost me around £850 from memory but the clutch kit (clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder) was over £650 as it was all uprated RS stuff.

    New clutch.. What brand..

When the clutch on my old Focus ST stated to slip on full boost I bought a full RS clutch set up for it and it was 'Luk' stuff in Ford boxes and branded both Luk and Volvo! Never missed a beat with that clutch.

    225 tyres

I ran 225/45R17 pretty much from when I bought my clio 200 until i sold it a few weeks ago (around 3 years) and never had an issue with them. Much bigger choice of tyres at better prices in 225 width. Only down side is that they tramline a touch more but nothing to worry about.

Remove wheel arch vents... And bumper...

Dark black?? Surely black is as dark as it gets. Anyway have a look in the How too section, there are guides in there. The wheel arch vents a meant to be a right pain though.

    kangarooing

Turning the traction control/ESP off worked for me, turn it back on once warm.

    Petrol light

Mine usually came on at 38 miles left in the tank. Then went to - - mpg which was highly annoying.

    Moving on from AD08R

Go to something like Bridgestone Potenza RE070 which would be somewhere in between those mentioned above. Only available in a 225 or 235 width though.

Locking wheel nut removal - Renault help?

I haven't had locking wheel nuts on a car in years. Not needed these days. When's the last time you heard of a set of alloys being stolen off a car? They are more trouble than they are worth in my opinion. The problem is tyre places tend to put them on with a gun and torque them up the same...

RS 200 Alloys - Spraying Black?????

While black alloys look great, I had black Speedlines, they are a total pain to keep. I'd go satin or matt finish rather than gloss (which I had) as gloss show every mark.

A good farewell to my 200

Roy Hope you get the weather mate as there are some spectacular sights down there. The West coast in particular (well for me anyway). Galway is a fantastic city and well worth a visit, as us the 'Burren' area which is like a moon scape. Enjoy the roads and try not to curse at the standard...

A good farewell to my 200

Thanks for the comments. Reason I didn't got for an R is I was looking a change to something completely different. Also I recently bought a classic subaru Impreza which I'm restoring to a show standard car (its currently getting a full respray) which will be my 'fast' car. Recent photo of the...

A good farewell to my 200

So the time had come to change the 200. It had been a great, reliable and enjoyable car over the past 3 years. Yes it had its quirks (cold starting anyone) but it was a great drivers car and I enjoyed pretty much every one of the 26,000 miles I covered in it. Was sad to see it go. It was...

    Cheapest place for tyres

Recently got 4 GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s (215/45R17 91W) delivered from here www.tyres-pneus-online.co.uk for £304. Paid £20 at a local tyre place to have them fitted. Was the best I could find at the time about two weeks ago. Usually use Camskill but they were £8 for the set more this...
