    ball joints

Can I ask what sort of price people are paying to get just the lower balljoints changed?

    Why I hate cliosport.net...

If anybody was bullied on Cs I'd like to think we would try and deal with it. To say you pm'd someone on the staff and they did nothing about it, I find that a bit odd. Anything like that would be taken quite seriously, I can assure you that. Cheers.

lower front grille to go with carbon top grilles

No, its 100% not that one. It's a Renault part though, i'll have the receipt for it in the cars history. I can get a picture or two if you all want, though the cars fairly filthy at the moment.

    Why I hate cliosport.net...

Personally, I think that jon_r admin guy is best... I'm slightly late to the party here as most points have been covered, but forums are very much what you make of them. ClioSport has a massive membership base and you're bound to get a few idiots in the mix, but there are a lot of very...

lower front grille to go with carbon top grilles

lol, the original picture in this thread is of my car when it belonged to a previous owner. I assume its still got the same three grilles on it (the top two are certainly the same). I've never paid much attention to it to notice the lower one.

    Engine temperature?

There is a bleed point of the side of the stat housing (10mm bolt) which is the same as the mk2 system. The other is on a pipe at the back of the engine bay towards the bulkhead. It's a plastic screw cap. Just make sure coolant is coming out of them before nipping them back up and running the...

    Engine temperature?

To be honest with you, it's such a simple job that you might as well put the 75 stat back in when things heat up. It only takes 15 mins tops.

    Engine temperature?

I've had a 182 stat in mine for a month or so now. Runs a lot warmer than the old 197 stat. For £16 + vat it's a no brainer imo.

Worth swapping or selling my 200 for a diesel Audi

I used to get up to 57mpg out of my 320D on a run. I once saw 64, but i was early and driving like Miss Daisy. Around town it used to get about 45, so still pretty good and a fair saving in fuel over the Clio. It'll be a much nicer, more relaxed place to be on a long journey as well.

Worth swapping or selling my 200 for a diesel Audi

I've actually just gone the other way. I owned various 172's for years but for various reasons I started doing mega mileage. I sold up and bought an e46 320D which was by far and away the best car i've ever owned. Fast forward 18 months and my commute was down from 320 miles to 6 miles. I've now...

    Frozen rear brakes

Discovered the cable had popped off of the back of the lever on one side. Thankfully a cheap fix.

    Frozen rear brakes

Everything moves freely as far as i can tell and the handbrake does still work when you pull the lever up far enough, but i can't understand whats caused it from being really tight last night to really loose today. All I did was pour water over the rear calipers this morning to free them off.

    Frozen rear brakes

I wish i could turf the 172 out of the garage and put this in instead. I need a double garage! I'll have to get the car booked in somewhere to change the cable (if it has snapped/stretched) as the handbrake isn't working at all now unless the lever is virtually touching the roof! It's well...

    Frozen rear brakes

I couldn't agree more that they need to be maintained, but a yearly strip down and re-grease? It's 2012, not 1920. lol.

    Frozen rear brakes

I'm pretty sure the secondary job of a handbrake is to release the brake when you take/turn it off. I can't think of another car i've ever owned where i've been advised not to use the handbrake, but to leave it parked in gear, or even to clean a brake system once a year! If thats necessary...
