Thanks for all the replies, I think under the circumstances I'll pay to have it done, I'm getting too old for lying under cars for 5 hours at this time of year .I'll look at replacing the suggested parts at the same time.

I need to remove my manifold to get the flexis replaced, how hard is it to remove the manifold? I've been quoted £300 all in? Thanks chaps

Hi, I've recently bought my 197 and it sounds to me as though the exhaust is blowing, it's a milltek cat back with what I think is a ktec manifold. I've just crawled under to have a look and taken these pictures.... ....I cant see a single flexi anywhere, if it is a ktec I'd expect there to be...

Yup without a doubt :thumb: the car has a lot of history but a dubious cambelt receipt from two years ago, hence the visit to Ktec . thankfully the seller was decent and dropped the price to cover the expense .

Has anyone fitted a Connects2 A2DP bluetooth adapter (or similar) to a Cabasse headunit in a 197? I don't have any CDs and I dont really want to swap the headunit out so I was thinking of buying the bluetooth adapter but having looked at the unit under the seat I can't see where the green plug...
