will that new Clio 200 front badge fit the front of a 197 ?

no not without modifying it in some way, i think they have a clip on the back of them which might have to be cut off.

but anything is possible mate, you might have to glue it to the grill for it to fit,
 
If your not to happy about attaching directly to your grill, what I have done in the past is modified the badge.

I remove any fixture from back of badge then glue a cable tie or two to the back of it. Then you can just tighten the cable ties around your grill! This is a good way of hiding the cable ties and also doesn't leave any damage to your grill (but obviously damages the badge!)
