Tutuur's Big turbo Clio R27

Fair enough... I'm guessing you had them re trimmed then? If so why did you have them done like the trophy r seats over going for something different?

Probably 30% of the power won't be really usefull until 100+ but i just love power! Not many circuits over here anyway so straightline power does it for me

Haven't had much time to do any upgrades on the car but it's still going strong. Took it to the ring last weekend...

Did take it easy a bit on the straights and the brakes where shot also so braking early, still managed a 9:05 BTG though

can't edit my post anymore so i'll just post another one:

Exterior hasn't changed much apart from the obligatory cup splitter:

I have been busy with the engine though!

New additions:
Megane 3RS turbo
630CC Siemens deka injectors

After alot of time recalibrating the ecu to cater for the bigger injectors and turbo i finally got a chance to finetune it on the dyno:

Ecu was pulling back timing on the dyno due to insufficient cooling so did another run building up power slowly to see what it would do on top rpm's:

309PS will equal about 305bhp so by far the strongest Clio in the Netherlands atm. This was before winter.....

Decided to skip the hybrid turbo and go big instead!

Fuel pump hole modified so i can swap out the pump in car, also cleaned the whole fuel tank as 10 years of debris does make it look filthy!

Standard fuel pump housing with 255lph pump and M3RS 550kpa pressure regulator.

Had a manifold made by Tim Hicks for my new turbo setup:

It is going to be powered by a Borg Warner EFR 6758 turbocharger, should be good to a realistic 450bhp and awesome spool, boost treshold and transient respone!

Also opted for a big brake setup based on the M3RS cup brakes, accompinied by DS2500 pads alround:

Bought myself a TIG welder and started practicing/welding:

Now awaiting a few more bends so i can finish the silencer section.....

For the people wondering, the engine will be a M3RS item aswell, will stay standard internally as i'm convinced they can take way more beating than anyone has the balls for. Next winter i'll put my rod-jobbed 25K M3RS engine in just for peace of mind

bloody hell you are brave..that turbo looks massive!!im sure you will have the fastest clio anywhere not just the Nederlands..:thumb:
so you are keeping the engine stock then??will it handle so much power??

I have compared the internals to Golf mk6R internals and they don't seem far less beefy, the Golfs are doing 450+ and similar torque so i guess it should be okay for a while. Not going all out on torque as it'll light up the front tires anyway, goal is 400+ and 500+nm(410lb/ft), we'll see what it will hold

quality stuff mate, and how's the TIG welding going? Have you done any welding before and what's the learning curve like?

Haven't done it much lately so looks i'm back to square one:chair:

I have done some mig welding before but not alot, so pretty new to all of it.

It's going okayish, melting two pipes together goes fine but adding filler rod isn't as easy as it looks on video's.

Sorry I missed this, love to see someone think outside the box abit, esp where the wheels are concerned, think they would look epic powdercoated anthracite with the calipers liquid yellow to match the car!

Love that you have done your own welding too, used to code weld myself in a past life! Lol

Keep it up pal, nice car
