The sunshine is out!!

'Do not wash in direct sunlight' :tongueout:

Nope, sitting on the decking enjoying the peace and quiet (considering we live in a terraced house!) reading the paper and having a flutter on the Grand National (£1.50 a bet!)

Certainly copious amounts of water was needed, had me running around with a micro fibre cloth quickly!

What an awesome day for the national!

What is this red vehicle??
Your car looks mint!

The red vehicle is a Westfield, a kit car which my dad built in 2000! Been to Le Mans and back at least 5 times.

Runs on an old Zetec engine with old Weber carburettors, great fun 0-60 but nowhere near as fast as a Caterham!e5268c112f91d2efb9a58f59e2f62ade.jpg

No car washing for me I'm afraid - it's direct sunlight or nothing where I live :sob: took my little nephew for a walk around the local nature reserve instead

Had the exact same idea mate. Tackled the front brakes to rid the embarrassing squeaking noise and cleaned the arches/wheels whilst I was there.

That inevitably lead to doing the rest of the car when I was done. Not often we get weather like that in Belfast so had to take the opportunity lol12135726488ba2582338c09d66a2b49a.jpg8011c815c6e5717abc4f62e5f45f1fb1.jpg3ccb15bd8ac16d6fec544e6c08e66e2d.jpgf75886e6e6b1042196453639948c09be.jpg07e7de23d24863de7c2b4d1b29479f1e.jpg

@Roshi69 Always have such a thing for a shiny white Clio, looks mega! The black trim at the front looks really clean as well, I always struggling cleaning that and sometimes feel it looks cloudy, or covered in watermarks! Good job!

I need to have a full session at some point removing all the tiny bits of stubborn tar from the paintwork!

If anyone knows a pain free way of getting rid of tar then please let me know!

I bought this stuff a while ago when my Auto Finesse Obliterate ran out.

Power Maxed Tfr5000 Concentrate Traffic Film Remover, 5 Liters https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00U23B3VA/?tag=clio197-21

Does a good job, I leave a bottle in the car for bird lumps too.

It's a good job, I always use it for a quick run round the car before starting any washing, helps loosten up dirt and brake dust etc. Then rinse, foam, rinse, wash etc etc lol
