Strange ticking noise from the engine!

Why does the npise come and go regardless of whether the engine is warm or cold?? I can't wrap my head around it...plus apart from the noise its not affected the car

Mines the same!!! Heard it first 3 weeks ago, then didnt hear it again until the other day, it went away whilst I was driving?? Now no longer there?? Car drives fines when making the noise?? Puzzled!!! Checked around the fan there's no debris or anything??

i would but i need to get it on ramps to have a proper butchers....its bloody odd
