197: Strange Beep after locking car?

Came home from work, parked on the drive. Locked the car and a strange prolonged beep occurred for about 30-40 seconds?

It sounded like it was coming from the rear passenger side of the car.

Any ideas?

done it on mine when the boot hasnt closed properly....had to open and then give it a bit of a slam!

Yes I think it sounds when the alarm can't set.

This ^^^ normaly its the pin under the bonnet which is at fault.

The alarm is in boot on rear passenger side.
