Should I Be Worried?

So heres the situation with my gearbox. From cold it sometimes refuses to go in to third gear, this is only first thing after setting off though and after that its fine.

But..... When you get that urge to plant your right foot another issue with 3rd appears. So, im in first and plant it to the gear shift indicator comes on and throw it in to second and then plant it again until the gear shift indicator comes on and............nope, no third gear available lol.

Driving normally and third is fine though?? It just doesnt seem to like it at high revs. I dont know anything about gearboxes so any help is much appreciated!

try changing into third a little slower than 1 & 2

could also be beneficial to change to a fully synthetic gearbox oil (see opie oils)

if the synchro was wearing or on the way out you "usually" get the dreaded CRUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I certainly havent heard a crunch yet so thats good however I have got warranty unti February so I will be keeping a close eye on it (assuming its covered which its probably not lol)

Is a gearbox oil change simple to do?

Well it looks straight forward enough, just need some hose and some oil and im off!
