Remove manifold

Hi,

I'm thinking of removing the manifold/cat to weld up the flexis on my 06 197. Is there a guid somwhere here? do I need to losen the subframe completely to free the manifold/cat out under the car?
Any tips are welcome as I'm runing out of time.
