Nice setup mate, similar to mine. I think PC gaming is gaining momentum/support again with Win7 being so much better than Vista. Also consoles are so behind now it's a joke.

Custom built Steam powered PC's would be awesome in the future!

I'll add you on Steam btw

I've been thinking about upgrading recently, but I'm going to put it off until the Autumn. A nice unlocked Sandy Bridge i7, 16GB of DDR3 and a HAFX case with cosair H50 cooler. The lovely part is with an unlockable i7, most motherboards now auto overclock everything for you!

And I also want to get the Dell 27" U2711. Have it on my desk at work and it's a beautiful screen.

Oh in the Lounge is a Sony Bravia 40" (Bravia 2 engine so a little old now) with Sky HD, PS3 and Sony surround. Sony's and Samsung's are the best TV's on the market imo. But Sony's will always edge it for me!

No games on the PS3 outside of GT5, but then I bought it to be a blu-ray player.

Yeah defo I'm on the same page as you fella

Stevo, how do you find the boot up time with the SSD? I'm tempted but the outlays alot if the time saved is marginal

It's quick...7 seconds perhaps to a clean desktop. The thing is you then start running all you apps from boot because it's so quick and mines now doing it in probably 9 seconds.

There are other benefits. If you have a decent amount RAM then the o/s will automatically load (superfetch) all your commonly used apps and dump them to RAM. This basically results in your system running like a bullet when using SSD cause it's silent and does the fetch in about 2 seconds.

My PC specs are on this thread and honestly it's the best upgrade. Everything runs without ever delaying, it's sweet as

i used to be right into all this stuff, but since buying the clios its kinda takena back seat. Built my PC a few years ago and havent changed it, just to give you an idea it was built to play CRYSIS at maximum setting. That was the benchmark at the time.

Too lazy now, PC is for Football Manager and occasionally Supreme Commander (yes i still play that from time to time.)
