My UR R27

Hi everyone, finally got round to introducing myself last week so thought I would start a thread on here. Just a few phone pictures for now, hopefully get some better ones soon! No plans at the minute it's that time of year again so insurance, service etc is taking up most of my available funds.

Love it! Looks fantastic. Car looks great as it sits to be honest, I wouldn't be changing a thing .

The door ones aren't, unfortunately the previous owner must have took them off they weren't on when i bought the car. Renault quoted me something like £150 per side excluding vat, couldn't bring myself to part with the money for them so got some for about £20 online.

Looks a really nice motor

What car shampoo are you using?

Im assuming snow foam or something similar if thats what its called

Thanks everyone! wallace I'm not quite sure, my friend cleans it for me once every other weekend. I know he uses a lot of autoglym stuff and the foam stuff smells great. Other that that i'm unsure, sorry.

Looks lovely.

I'd be tempted to take all the decals off myself. Especially as you don't have the roof one.

Rogue Thanks it's a shame really because I really like the full set including the roof one, can't understand why a previous owner took the door and roof ones off. To me it's part of what makes the R27, maybe i'll take the plunge one day and get original ones from Renault but atm I can't justify the price!

My friend had a free space this afternoon so got him to come give the car a quick wash and polish. Hopefully get some cleaning stuff myself soon and get stuck into it, there's plenty of areas that need a thorough clean.
Really tempted to get the diffuser painted satin black as i've never really liked the grey and think it would look a lot better. Considering a new exhaust once i've got the service out of the way this month.

Anyway a few pictures from today's wash, Thanks!

Thought i'd update my thread as it's been a long time since I've posted any recent pictures of the car, I did intend to enter the December POTM (although my pictures aren't half as good as the current entries) but I didn't realise entries closed yesterday but not to worry as it has gave me a chance to update here.

I recently fell out with the car, after around 2 and a half years trouble free motoring the car has started to develop some of the Clio's common problems, ball joints need replacing, Recaro bolsters are wearing (as much as I try to avoid touching them) and a few other niggles.

I'm always contemplating swapping the car, I've mentioned in a few threads that i'd really like to test drive a 220 Trophy and I've even got my eyes out for the right spec Megane but really I'd love to keep the Clio there's just something about it that screams KEEP ME - This morning before I took the pictures I went on the first 'proper' drive in a long time and I think I've fallen back in love with the car all over again.

So in the new year I plan on getting the car fully checked over at a specialist and get everything done that needs doing, get the car a good clean (possibly detailed) and hopefully just go back to enjoying the car again.

Hope everyone likes the photos, 10 years old next year and I still don't think there's many car that are as nice on the road. As people will be able to tell the car has't changed at all since I first posted photos but IMO I think R27 doesn't need playing with, I am more than happy with the standard car.

it's absolutely glorious mate. Don't sell it unless you're going for something really special. The detailed photos look amazing.

Car looks mint mate. Leave the R27 as it is as its special enough. I only drive mine every now and then so if feels like a new car. I personally prefer the 197 over the 200 so the R27 was an obvious choice. Fix what needs fixed and you will be in love again.

Looks great! Glad you're falling back in love with it after a drive, there's something glorious about revving the naturally aspirated engine.
