My car won't start!!!help!!!

well car booked in tomorow for the starter replaced, its a bosch starter with q 12 month warrenty on it.so its coting me £125 for the starter and get £35 pound back surcharge and then £54 to fit it,so all in all a good price compared to what a renault specialist in wrexham quoted for a reconditioned one....£337.85 fitted!!!

can you post the bosch part number for other users please ?

cheers mate

i think id hold onto the old starter myself if it was working again, maybe it wasn't even the starter motor in the first place

both andrew page and unipart do bosh or ac delco for about the same money

when i got mine they had it on the shelf ready

did yours start sometimes and then dead others.diagnostics said power to the starter constant and when push button is pressed but nothing happens.when its cold in the morning its ok,but when warm it doesnt work, spoke to a mechanic and he reckons thats how they go.got mine from ces uk and was on the shelf ready

all done and starting everytime.actually got £40.80 back for the old starter.think the part number for the new one is BOS1886

Nice one. At least it's all sorted now and you can sort of be rest assured it'll start when you drive somewhere!
