Manifold Welding in Ayrshire

Had my cracked exhaust manifold welded today by RMS Engineering in prestwick. They welded up all 4 branches solid (2 & 3 were cracked) and they welded a blow on the first box. Looks like a really nice weld job and they only charged me £48. I was well chuffed dropped it off this morning and had it back by lunchtime.

Just need to get back into the ice box of a garage and try to wrestle the damn thing in tonight.

Would have to say i would highly recommend RMS Engineering for this type of work. I'm well chuffed.

Think a few of the Cliosport guys also recommend that place.

great news fella,i quite often keep a check on my manifold with a torch and a mirror as they are known to crack,why are the pipes so recessed into the flange? surely they would be much stronger if they were fully welded up like you have had done?

granted you don't want to make something to stiff but surely the flexi's are there to provide a bit of movement
