You say that but it was over £600 cheaper for me to insure a 172 cup for my first car than any typical 1.2!

What that's mental, insurance really winds me up lol.

And i thought it was expensive to own cars here. Oh but the import taxes.. All cars are so expensive it is real posh if you have something like new Golf.
But at least insurance is cheap, if you can afford car..

Haha other way round here, most young people pay more for a year of insurance than the value of their car!

I think mine was £360 for the year. 30 with 10 years no claims, all mods declared etc...

Not too bad. I've had cheaper but I mustn't grumble. Gone are the days of 4 figure insurance payment!
