i think i want a turbo!

Laguna, scenic etc. It's the same block and head. Weaker pistons, rod's and crank but that can all get upgraded at a later date. They make 200 HP ?
 
Yeah the basic engine is the same I believe, as well as the turbo. Little point in that conversion, if you're upgrading the bottom end there are plenty of 225 engines on ebay for around £600.
 
I like to buy an entire car prior to any conversion so I can run it.I spoke to the guy with the 225 motor for sale. Considering that but I want the longer gears I think. It'll be topping out about 120 with the standard 197 gearing. My local track is combe which is fast. My mates Ibiza turbo ( 650HP) is quicker with a 5 speed around there than with a 6 speed due to the amount of time changing gear.
