Car looks good mate, as people said, white is white can only be win.

Love how it sounds as well. I might have to ditch my manifold cat...

Thanks! Yeah, it just needs the aero now, spoiler at a minimum but tyres, spacers and brakes are next in line before that. And thanks I couldn't find videos of anyone who had done it before and got the decay for £20 of here so thought why not! Sound great, I still managed 32-33mpg to work on the bypass with some careful driving, no eml (strange, had no cats for a week now with plenty of miles), the only downside is the huge flatspot but its nothing you can't drive around, dont remember the last time i tried to floor it at 2-3k anyway, only tested to see if I had a flat spot! It does need a remap but should be getting v6 box soon so I'm holding of for the time being!

Finally got around to finishing it off, popped over to a friends and used his garage as shelter in this shocking weather, his 172 turbo is gorgeous, has better stance than half the non sport stance guys out there as well! ... anyway here is how it sits atm, going to see how it setlles over the week and may go another 5-10mm lower.

those white wheels turned black already lol

looking good mate, I wouldn't go lower than that (maybe a tad higher). How much camber are you running?

Haha! I haven't cleaned it in about 2weeks :worried: been busy! Maybe tomorrow after gym! It looks lower in the picture because of the angle in the flesh its a tiny bit higher, I've left the front about 25mm from the bottom and rears about 15-20mm from the bottom, if in person it sits as it looks in the picture I will be pleased, got the damping at 10 10 but tbh it feels a bit soft, so will need to start messing with that soon.. my last car ended up at 26 front 28 rear but that was slammed. Camber is close to max so somewhere between -2 to -2.6? I believe, going to let it settle over the week, i have roughly eyed up the tracking by eye and feel and then will get it all set up properly.

A few weeks ago i had the car set up by Sean at jade developments and they done a fantastic job, handles beautifully and far better than standard.. we discussed how often i will be on track and the fact its still a daily and i left with it sitting like so.

it has about 20mm of rake, the rears have been shimmed to give it neutral toe with a bit of camber and then it was corner weighted.

desperately needs spacers now but i dont want to ruin the handling :/.. hmm.

however im pretty chuffed with this.. £5 and £15 delivery is a bit of a bargain.

Blimey that's low, does it not rub under hard cornering? But anyway car is looking great [emoji2]

The airbox is steal. [emoji106]

haha, we measured it next to the cup racer and its only 14mm higher, i havent had any rubbing so far, but i haven't pushed it properly since its been wet most of the time s :worried:, the real test will be when i get it on track really, with that being said sean took me out in it after setting it up, and pretty much had it on two wheels and it didn't rub so hopefully it should be okay, if i have to i will move stuff around.

very pleased, just need to source other bits now, hose and battery relocation bits and bobs.

The Clio has had a few treats since my last update,

New callipers, feroddo ds2500 pads, new discs, braided lines and fuch fluid.
New Clio 200 gearbox as my old box completely destroyed itself by sh*tting a synchro 4 days before it was booked in to be rebuilt.
Usual service bits and bobs, new pencil coils, cambelt, oil etc etc
Battery is now located in the boot

Which made way for the v6 box :smiley:78D84347-4F7F-4455-A439-46FE6757C878_zps4g7c4rza.jpg[/COLOR]

i have probably missed a few bits but I will update again soon.

on the worse note, my spax shock blew and leaked it's gas and oil, spax want a ridiculous amount for a new shock and jjc are taking forever to arrange an inspection under warranty, the result is I am now going to look for different coilovers.

But that's all for now.

looking gd mate, how are my top mounts? and are u doing bedford trackday friday?

thanks mate, they are great, definite must with coilovers. Unfortunately not, I have a blown damper at the moment but hopefully get some new coilovers soon, spax want £250 for one damper and im not paying that for a shock that could blow again.

Slow progress but after popping my spax shock i managed to get hold of some bilstein cup racers with h&r springs. The plates were welded in and the suspension setup by jade developments who as always did a fantastic job. As expected the setup is very stiff but it handles likes its on rails and the car does not often get used on the road anymore, i intend to make it a proper track toy over the coming months.

the old setup which came off and sold for extra change

and the bilsteins which have taken their place
