Gear shifter trim removal

So guys I didnt find any topic about that so Im asking how to remove that trim around gear shifter.
I dont want to pull gear knob off..

Its stapled to the gear gaiter for starters.

If your doing that - i'd personally remove gear knob (Pull like a champion and watch where the spring inside goes). Lift off trim and gear lever gaiter. Undo staples. Paint trim. Find someone with a fairly heavy duty stapler to replace the staples. Fit and bang knob on firmly !

Never simple is it........

Shit so no way around of pulling knob [emoji23][emoji23]
