So I finally bought a Clio 3 RS 200. Not to everyone's taste as it is a Gordini model but I love the way it looks. Managed to find a completely standard unabused example with the intention of keeping it completely standard. A few weeks in I have failed miserably and new alloys and Akrapovic evo system already purchased (not yet fitted but pics will follow). Longer term there will be engine mods but that route is still undecided. Like the idea of a megane engine swap but feel it a shame to swap out a 14k mile engine. May just go the n/a route...

Anyway some pics for now.

They are deep but relatively empty as I have a new baby (number 5!) who has just arrived!!

Where did you get the badge covers from? Only place I could find is eBay for £99... fek dat.

Yes that was what I said too. I knew I should have paid more attention at school when they were discussing contraception :swear:

Alloy wise I have gone for 18x8 Braid Fullrace A with a 56 offset. Hope they fit ok!

brilliant! they'll fit all right, no worries. my raider wheels are 8X18 ET66. your's will poke out 10mm more per corner.
i've got some braid fullrace R's, 7X17 and ET47. no complaints so far.

That is so weird you just commented on my wheels as I was just looking at yours this minute! I am beginning to regret going for Fullrace A as yours look fantastic. That pic of your car from the rear in front of the track is one of the best I have seen.

cheers mate. well, the fullrace R is only available in 7X17. no problem for me, since i was looking for a 17 inch wheel anyway. i only use those wheels for trackdays and 18 inch tyres are quite a bit more expensive. ideally, i would have liked them in 8X17. that way i could have fitted 225, instead of 215, wide tyres.
