Anyone who did a decat can please confirm if it affected the power in the low rpm range?

taken from http://www.readyforthetrack.co.uk/2008/11/renaultsport-clio-rs-197-exhaust-system-advice/ : "The Clio 197 is in a very high state of tune from the factory, and we often find that a modification such as a replacement airbox and a de-cat can make a considerable flat-spot at around 2,400 rpm."

also will the exhaust sound much louder with a decat? I find the stock 197 loud enough and wouldn't like to mess with the warranty either if a decat doesn't bring significant improvements

i have a decat and full miltek system.
cant say there are any plus or negatives from having it.
it did pass mot emisions with it fitted.

Mine was bad with a decat, massive flatspot!!!

Mine wasn't too good but not really tooooo bad it's just a case of getting used to it lol. I doubt there would be any point doing it on the standard system tho

Mine runs decat and had the flatspot mapped out, no problems for me there.

mine doesnt seem to have a flatspot and its decat
