Dan's clio 200 Silverstone

A few months back I swapped from a 220 trophy into a 200 so I thought I would make a project/ update thread for Silverstone number 25.The history for this car was really impressive , massive amount of paperwork as well as a few choice mods such as the Akropovic exhaust. It ticked all the boxes I was looking for and to say I am. Happy is an understatement.

Rubbish pic after collection:

A few weeks after collecting popped out for a spin, started pushing on a little after the car warmed up and at 5000rpm a massive miss fire occurred. Limped home thinking what have I bought . Popped off the far left coil and the spark plug / cylinder head was full of water, carefully removed the water, 4 new plugs and coils and no more misfire and running as Renault intended again

The offending item:

Next up the MOT was due, car dropped off and then waited for the Call. To be honest I was fearful but a pass was granted with no advisories and the MOT garage commented on how clean and tidy the clio was.

As a present for behaving at MOT time I ordered some new mats from RPD, the old ones did not clip to the carpet as such and kept moving under the pedals. Excellent service by RPD as normal.

Next up was a Zero Point One gear shift extender in yellow and new gear gaitor to continue the current theme:

Future plans are not to extensive as a 2 young children rinse cash at an alarming rate, but over the next year the aim is for the following
Service including gear box oil change
Interior wet and vac
K-Tec induction kit
Steering wheel retrim
New front disc and pads

A couple more rubbish pics, probably that will be a theme through the thread.

So a few updates to capture, nothing exciting just general maintaince really.

Noticed even after a good 20 minute drive or so the water tempature was not as high as I would of liked.

New thermostat ordered from RPD and some coolant to flush and bleed the system, seemed a sensible time to do so.

Much better :grinning:

Thought I would try one of the map sensor brackets from MOTO CNC. 5 minutes to fit and a marked inprovment especially when cold, virtually no kangarooing.

New snow foam lance and snow foam was ordered and turned out to be a 4 week wait, was not impressed with the lead time. However, the product its self is very good.

And after a quick clean a few pictures from a drive out to pick up a couple of bits.

Love the car and the amount of useful info in these posts! I fitted the ZPO in the silver body colour the moment I picked up the car late last year  Interested to see what you've done with that MAP sensor bracket..was curious about it's wobbliness.
