Clio Buying advice

Hi All.
Im new to the scene.

Just looking at possibly getting a clio 197.
I just wanted to know a bit about them.

Ive already test drove one & loved it apart from the low end torque.

Is there anything i should look out for?
Any common issues? ie. electirics/gearbox/engine?

Also remember that the belts are due at 5 yrs / 72k miles so any 06 plate is either overdue, or due shortly, and they are expensive, minimum I have seen is about £400, some dealers quote upto £1,000.

Only problem i've had with mine has been trim related, drivers seat wouldn't stop squeaking. Had 2 seat bases, 1 side bolster and a new seat cover. Its finally sorted though!
