- Brembos from Clio 197 / Megane 225

Bilstein B14 coilovers (-20mm front and -15mm rear, almost like Trophy 220 setup):

Only slight visual diffrence but performs better handling (not night & day diffrence but noticeably)

Brembos from Clio 197 / Megane 225. Previously I had DS2500 pads, braided brake lines and it's long story why I decided to go with Brembos. :tongueout:

Great looking car!

ill be putting the b14s on mine soon! Where did you get the strutbrace?

Just if anyone was wondering where their posts went too, I cleaned the thread up a little as the OP didnt want that kind of stuff on the first page of his progress thread as you could probably appreciate!

I did find that strut bar the other day browsing but thanks for the link to The ultra, ill wait for that as i do feel the front needs stiffening, let me know how you get on with german one / notice any differences!

To be honest I don't feel any diffrence.

Full Ultra Racing kit should provide significantly better feeling.

Just read the bit about why you went the brake change... What happened there with the oem setup and ds2500 pads?

I was just tired of glazed outer pads every track day and weird brake pedal feel on track after some heat cycles. Pedal feel was usually poor even with fresh RBF660 fluid. I flushed brakes 3 times with 3 different brake fluids and I'm sure was not even close to the boiling temp. Half of the outer pad was always glazed after track day and didn't matter if it was DS2500, Ferodo Premier or OEM pad. Maybe my calipers were faulty, dunno.

We weill see next month how Brembo performs on track. bigsmile.gif On road you won't feel any diffrence in stopping power. OEMs were good at this point.

Think i will be putting ds2500 pads in mine soon with grooved discs.. I dont really do track days though, perhaps 1 or 2 this year, shall see. Trouble is that caliper change is an expensive mod!

A few changes in my setup

Oil cooler and Airtec intercooler (my previous custom made IC was causing big pressure drop)

Oil temp gauge (because temp shown in RS Monitor is a calculation only)

Hybryd turbo based on 220T turbo

Intake from 220T

Final tune to 273bhp and 335Nm. We tested higher torque settings in lower rpm without issues (up to 380Nm) but that was not the point. Aim was to keep the torque relatively flat near 330Nm throughout the rev range.

It's fine, power has nothing to gearbox though. Torque is a problem because 340Nm is reasonable maximum for stock cltuches and most of people are running that torque on their mapped Clios without issues. This turbo could make enough boost for 400Nm at lower rpms or flat 360Nm.
