Buying from the coast

hello

im looking at a 182 trophy thats spent the last 4 years on the coast, do you think its risky buying a car from the seaside, from a rust point of view? its a 05 plate on 90K miles, and wants £3800 for it, what do you think?

you can only really tell by looking underneath and around for signs of rust - the mk2 arent normally rust buckets in my view - but you will get rust/corrosion on the underneath and its worth checking out just to be safe!

I saw a trophy for sale a few months ago that was near the coast, the first thing that gave it away was the incredibly rusty calipers!
