Bucket seats questions...

Hi ladied and gents, this may sound like a daft question but humour me!

I am trying to figure out the mounting width of a bucket seat. Are they all standard or are there different standards?

I get that each car manufacturer is different and so you need subframe mounts dependant on the car and mounting (especially if you want to keep OEM sliders) but in terms of the distance between left and right, what is that governed by? Does each seat manufacturer have different standards?

Im watching these now, I have an idea of a Frankenstein seat base for my Recaro using OEM sliders and a base mounted subframe (like above) with a bit of chopping and cutting of the upper part of the original OEM subframe. Need to pull a few things apart and see if it will work first though!
