Bruno's Renault Clio RS197 - Albi Blue

Thank you so much guys. Appreciate it!

EDIT: Here's a smaaaall video of my slowest lap on the ring, pretty chilled, was following my friend on his Twingo RS Cup, which is a bit slower, and then a Juke decided to make a traffic line of about 30 cars! :censored:

I have some more little things, first of all, I've bought my membership today! :drunk:

Second, I did my rear blinkers today and I loved it also.

Third, my exhaust tips were so faded, looking completely white. Bought a metal polish cream, and 5 minutes later they looked awesome, they were super white and faded, still have to work on the inside though.

Again, sorry for the crappy pics.. :worried:

And I had to clean this mess on both sides, OCD attacks, oh well.

Tomorrow I'll take the diffuser out, clean it, remove the wax (white stain) and give it a proper wash.

Cheers!

Hey guys!

Yesterday it was time for fresh oil and then I went for a pretty chilled ride with the Clio to the bavarian alps and actually had a little fun with two local bikers, super fun.

And today I started acessing what has to be done, the plan is simple, I want it as a road legal ring tool.

So next step, I shall change the gearbox oil and order a set of black polyurethane bushings, and then buy a new set of wheels/tires, which will be most likely ATS GTR in 18x8 and Neova AD08R's.

Then maybe I'll re-paint the from bumper as it looks faded and with it's chipped in a lot of places.

As for now, I finally leave you with some better pics, hope you like it.
(Car needs to be cleaned, I know :ninja:smile:

Cheers!

Hello everyone! More news, I'm trying to figure how what wheels to buy, I really want 17x8', any idea?

I've been looking at:
- OZ Ultraleggera
- OZ Alleggerita
- Speedline turini
- ATS GTR (love this wheels, seen them so much @Nürburgring)
- Clio Cup wheels

This 5x108 pattern is bad for wheels, wish it was 5x114,3

Yesterday was time to drive to the alps again, I love those touge passes, and I love how the RS just feels spot on at home!

Here's some shots I took with my drone!
Hope you enjoy, cheers!

Guys, tomorrow I may be heading up to discover Stelvio pass, I quite the touge fan... Is anyone here outside from the UK? :uk:

It's located in Italy, pretty close to the Austrian border.

Awesome read brunodias!

I've been up the Stelvio pass twice now, and down the other side (scarier than coming up!), just not in the Clio. I've promised myself to go up it again, one day (this time without cooking the brakes!)

Have you been up the Foppa pass or the Timmelsjoch pass? I did those in 2014, which I'll never forget. Your so lucky to be living in that part of the world...

Some great photos there, the lighting and shadows really enhance the Clio’s lines.

Even the interior shots are well lit, with some areas almost in total darkness. I love this, there is no need for me to have a frame totally illuminated, it emphasises the subject and focal point even more.

Great work and a lovely car!

wow these updates are great, makes some awesome reading with the great photos too.

Thank you for the kind words Tom! Love your build also

I didn't, I didn't even knew those passes! Thank you Greg :drunk:
Actually I ended up not going to Stelvio as the forecast was really bad and I want to do a proper photoshoot there, but it's "close" to me, around 270km/167miles.
Next week I'll be flying to Portugal for two weeks vacations, I'll post pone the Stelvio drive to as soon as I arrive.

Actually, it's been a crazy wild ride.. I'm portuguese, I've lived in Holland also, and now I'm finally stablished in Germany, therefore, Italy, Austria, Greece, Turkey, all those places are "close by".

If anytime soon you come around this part of europe, DM me!

I thought that as well, some of the pics really resemble the wideness of the arches for instance, I love it, such a sexy car

Thank you for your words man!

Well, here's something from yesterday, cheecky drone shots. I'm also preparing a video of some of my small trips/corners, I'm loving this car so much, a really nice and balanced hot hatchback.

This is my "every weekend" touge pass, just admire it...

Hello people! Things are running a bit slow on this side, I've been super busy with work!

Selling this little thing passed through my mind a lot of times but I've made the official decision to keep it and started things up.

For a long time, I've been looking for 200 cup wheels, I love the design but around here I don't see them for sell that much.

I was lucky though, I got a set yesterday with some winter tyres, guy used them for 1 month and put them away, tires are from 2009... I'll put some summer rubber soon on this wheels and keep my original ones with winter rubber.

I took some pictures today at the Munich airport (iPhone pics, not what I used you to! haha).

Enjoy and see you soon guys.

Wheels look fantastic ! Well done you for finding those.

Don't mock yourself too much on the "only phone photo's". You're still doing better than most of us !

The one above is an absolutely cracking shot and i love it :thumb:
